With all the stuff that we have in our lives and in our homes the biggest hassle we have is the manuals box. That ridiculous box we all have to try and keep all of our manuals in one place. There’s the manual for the fridge, the stove, the washer, and dryer. Well, my friends, I’m here to let you know there is a better way.
That better way is called Centriq. Centriq is the one place to turn for everything you need to know about your home. First I’m going to tell you what Centriq is and how it works. Then I’m going to share with you all of the problems that centric solves. I want to disclose that I am not receiving anything from Centriq for reviewing their product. I’m sharing it with you because I think it’s fantastic and everyone should have it.
Centric is an app that allows you to catalogue everything in your home. Centric works anytime, anywhere, on any device. The brilliant thing about Centriq is that it harnesses the power of your smart phone’s camera. You simply snap a picture of the label or what they like to call the nameplate of anything in your home with an on-switch. Once it’s identified your product, Centriq pulls in every piece of information you need to know about that item. You’ll get a curated list of the parts & supplies for your product and they even make it easy for you to order the item right from the app on Amazon. There are how-to-videos that will show you how to replace the item you’ve ordered by yourself instead of having to hire someone. You can even add your own video for future reference. You have all of the user manuals and other documents associated with your item, and it even provides recall alerts. So, if you’ve purchased something that down the road ends up being recalled for some reason, Centriq will be the first to notify you.
The fantastic thing about having everything in one place with Centriq is that everything you need to manage your stuff is right at your fingertips you don’t have to waste time searching through Google or YouTube when a problem arises. Because let’s face it, problems don’t always happen when you have the user manuals handy.
Centric also allows you to put your home maintenance on autopilot. You can leave it a centric to tell you exactly what to do and when to do it. We all want to protect the things we own but life happens right?
Centric also allows you to upload any of your own documents or photos or videos. So, if there’s a receipt or a warranty or a service record you want to be logged you can do so.
Pretty amazing, huh?
So what problems does centric solve? Well, for one thing, you can get rid of that ugly massive box of paper manuals lying around your house. You will always have everything in your home at your fingertips and with you at all times. But let’s look at it from a real estate perspective because after all, I am a real estate agent.
The biggest issue for every homeowner and every buyer is getting all the information on a particular home transferred to the new owner. I can’t tell you how many times as a listing agent I am trying to get my clients to remember where they store the manual for this or that in order to pass it along to the buyers agent and the new buyers or as a buyers agent for my clients ensuring that all of the manuals they need are available. In almost every circumstance there is something missing. Often many things missing. Now imagine as a homeowner being able to pass everything you know about your home over to the new owner. Imagine while your home is on the market your listing agent is able to tell other agents and potential buyers that this home comes with Centriq and they will have a state of the art digital manual for the entire home upon possession. Imagine you’re the agent for the buyer and you surprise them on their possession date with the Centriq app which already has all the appliances of that home already set up. They’d be pretty impressed.
